Conductor’s Note
Welcome to Road Trip!
We’re so excited to have you join us on this supersonic journey to kick off the beginning of summer. The memory of a road trip seems to be a universal one, whether it be of the short, few-hours variety, or a long, multi-day adventure, and music (along with plenty of gas in the tank) definitely fueled those excursions! We have a fun mix of pieces tonight that include some of our favorite songs that we’ve listened to on these road trips, as well as others that describe the joy of exploring the great, wide world around us. As we head into our summer recess, I hope you’ll consider taking your own journey with us when we return in the fall for our first-ever Halloween-themed term, Monster Mayhem. Feel free to find me after the concert if you have questions, or head to our website for more info. In the meantime, sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the show!
